The Professional
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Bachelors degree in Social Work with a minor in psychology, and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counselling. I am an ally to many, including 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities (to name a few).

I am here to help you explore the roots of your concerns, meet your goals, and to find ways to foster a more enriching and empowering life. In other words, I am here to walk through the shit with you (let’s be real—we are all human. We’ve all stepped in it once or twice).
As you can likely tell by the practices’ name, I am a strong believer in using a humanistic approach to therapy and life. Ultimately, humanistic therapy is about fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and authenticity, where you can explore your inner world, gain insights, and work towards realizing your full potential as a human. Let’s get real together and find out what the beauty of being human means for you.

I’m a blend of my professional clinical background with my true human parts.
I’m human! In my practice, my “armchair” is not a pedestal or a soapbox. I don’t know more about you than you know about yourself, so you are still the expert. I’m here to help you make sense of your human experience, and heal along the way to finding “you.”
You will laugh, you will cry, you will have all the range of emotions in between—and, that’s normal for the human experience. My biggest goal is to help you bring yourself back home; whatever that may look like for you—all while cultivating a deeper connection with yourself.

ACT is all about building psychological flexibility & resilience — You will learn the skills to build the ability to adapt and respond to life’s ups and downs in a way that works for you. It’s designed to help you handle emotional and behavioral challenges more effectively, so you can face life’s struggles and manage a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges.

EMDR therapy is a highly effective approach for processing deep trauma and distressing experiences. You will be safely guided to recall difficult memories while focusing on external stimuli, like hand movements or sounds, to reprocess emotions that may still feel overwhelming and are affecting you today. The goal is to go to the root of your concerns while shifting your state of consciousness through deep emotional healing. This safely helps you move forward from your trauma.

DBT blends principles of CBT with elements of acceptance and mindfulness strategies. DBT helps you learn new coping skills, improve distress tolerance, emotional regulation & interpersonal effectiveness.

Think of CBT as talk therapy with a super practical twist. It’s a proven approach that helps you recognize unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more balanced, constructive ones. At its core, it’s about identifying and challenging those deep-seated negative beliefs that can hold you back from moving forward and taking on more. Of course, there’s a lot more to it, but we can dive deeper into that in our session!
